OK, the first one:
In honor of St. Patrick's Day, I wanted to do a little something cute. So using my Bo Bunny Flex ruler, card stock and my tape runner, I made rainbow favors. I just placed the candies in a bag and taped onto the back. The writing says "You're the gold at the end of my rainbow."
The next project I used my buttons and glue dots. I went to Joanne's and bought 1/2 yard of burlap. It's very cheap. Next, I used my Cricut Expression to make a template of a capital S in Times New Roman (I used my Sure Cuts a lot but you can use any font you might have) Don't have a Cricut? Use your computer and print out your own template.
I taped the burlap down to a strong surface and template in hand, chalked the "S" image onto the burlap. Then it was just a matter of Glue dotting the buttons and pearls to the burlap. Incidentally, this piece has special meaning to me as I used the buttons from my mom's old clothes. So I have a piece of her in my home.
I then stamped white card stock with a script style stamp and Staz On ink in Timber brown. I used this new paper as the base for my flower. I punched out 4 flowers to make the flower using the technique I demo'ed here in this you tube video. Before assembling the flowers, I did add a coat of clear rock candy distress crackle paint. Tim Holtz does a great demo of this.
A bow made with my black ribbon and I'm done.
The original pinterest ideas had it hanging on the front door, so I may add a black ribbon as a "hanger" and put it on my front door.
So those are the projects I've done this week. Who knows what next Friday will bring? In the mean time, please share with me some of the ideas you've used (feel free to share links) your supplies for....I'm always looking for the next fun project!
